The Beginner program is fun and interactive for all children ages 6 years and under. Taught by experienced coaches, the primary focus of each session is to teach your child the USA Hockey National Standard of skills, while promoting teamwork, self-confidence and fun. You will be amazed at your child’s progress. This may just be the first step in developing a lifelong love of the sport.
(Mites) American Development Model
The A.D.M. program (Mites) is for all children ages 8 and under with at least one year of previous hockey experience. It is a fun interactive program taught by experienced coaches.
The primary focus of each session is to further your child’s development on and off the ice, while promoting teamwork, self-confidence and most of all Fun. This program participates in cross ice games and starts to develop hockey skills to the next level.
Jamestown Lakers Travel Teams in the Squirt, Pee-Wee, Bantam and Midget levels compete in the Western New York Amateur Hockey League. Home games are played at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena, and away games are played across Western New York, and Erie, PA. These teams compete each year for New York State Championship, and League Titles! The Jamestown Lakers travel program emphasizes individual player and team skill development, as well as sportsmanship and character development.
Travel hockey requires a significant commitment of time and effort by both the players, and the coaches.
Lakers Special Hockey is an innovative program for the handicapped athlete.
Created in 2003 through the generosity of corporate and community sponsors, the program is pen to children at no cost to their families and offers both an exercise option and social interaction with others their own age. The players use aluminum sled and shortened hockey sticks.
