Looking for a great winter activity for your child? Try….Timbits BEGINNER HOCKEY It’s FUN! It’s Affordable!  It’s Great Exercise!
Who: BOYS and GIRLS ages 4 to 7
When: Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:20 p.m. from November 2nd through end of February/early March @ The Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena

Cost: $210 covers entire season and includes equipment usage plus a Timbits Jersey and a hockey stick that are yours to keep!  (A $50 deposit will be required at time of Registration ~ balance due at start of season)

Registration Opportunity: Friday, September 23rd and Friday, October 7th @  Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Timbits is a fun, interactive program taught by experienced instructors.  The primary focus of each session is to make your child’s introduction to hockey as exciting as possible.  The season starts with age-appropriate skating instruction, fun drills and basic stickhandling techniques.  By the end of the season, the group will be playing hockey scrimmages.  You’ll be amazed at your child’s progress.For more information or if you are unable to make the Registration on September 23rd or October 7th, contact Program Director Tom McFall.  Cell Phone: 499-8986 or Home Phone: 664-9228  Email:  mbhockey@stny.rr.com

Our program is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of ice skating, stickhandeling, shooting, passing, team play, and self-confidence. Above all, having FUN will be top priority as the players will participate in small games, drills, and eventually cross-ice scrimmages by the end of the season.  

mcfallCost?:  The cost is $210 for 32 ice sessions. This includes USA Hockey Insurance, Jersey, Stick, and rental of C.C.Y.H.A. protective equipment. You may join the program after it has already started at a pro-rated cost.

Equipment?:  For the hockey season C.C.Y.H.A. supplies equipment (you may supply your own if you wish) which must be returned at the end of the season. You will be required to purchase a garter belt / jock strap / hockey socks / neck guard for the season.  Equipment is available at the Skate Shop. 

Who Instructs My Child?:   The C.C.Y.H.A. Beginner Program is instructed by Tom McFall.  Tom is a middle school educator at Chautauqua Lake, and is the founder of the McFall Brothers Hockey School.  Tom's extensive background in playing and coaching hockey makes him a valuable asset to the hockey community.  A parent or guardian is allowed to go on the ice for the first few weeks, after which you must be certified as a USA Hockey coach if you wish to volunteer on-ice.
